9.4kW off-grid (island) photovoltaic installation as the sole source of power at the “Свето Възнесение Господне” monastery in the Vrabcha region.

The installation consists of 16 pieces of 585W high-efficiency photovoltaics with a 30-year performance warranty. The panels are located on a bulkhead, where they will have exposure to direct sunlight throughout the entire day. The mounting angle is going to help achieve optimal efficiency during the winter season, when the power consumption is expected to be higher.

The single-phase hybrid inverter allows monitoring of the current condition of all elements of the system – current production power, battery state of charge and so on. Should the inverter be connected to the internet, it can be monitored through an online portal, where various historical and real-time statistics regarding the PV plant are available.

With the photovoltaic plant being the only source of electricity, batteries were also included in the installation in order to provide a constant power supply.
